My writing goals for 2011 – they’re bona fide!

Okay – I decided to make my 2011 writing goals public knowledge and I expect all of you to keep me accountable (*eyeballs the viewers menacingly*)

So, in the words of Holly Hunter in “O’ Brother, Where Art Thou”  – they’re bona fide!

1. Complete ms, “Southern Comfort”, by January 31, 2011.
2. Sell “Music City Seduction” to Harlequin.
3. Take workshops on craft and industry topics.
4. Attend RWA Nationals.
5. Write ms, “Southern Heat” by May 1, 2011.
6. Wrte ms. “Southern Nights” by October 1, 2011
7. Blog more on website.
8. Be there for CP and find someone to mentor – give back.
9. Attend and become actively involved in Washington Romance Writers.
10. Lose 20 pounds before my 20th college reunion next April – ooops! – did I say that out loud?

  1. Great goals!! I started posting my goals by month on my blog awhile back and it helps to have it out there. Although no-one calls me on it, I know the blog readers will know if I don’t achieve something. It’s probably all in my mind, but helps me feel accountable :). I’d love to meet you at Nationals next year!!

      Mallory – I try to write at least 500 words everyday. That equals 60K for a category romance in 120 days. I edit my last ms while I write the new one.

      You are too sweet about the weight – it’s all below the picture line! ; )

  3. Brave of you to announce your goals to the public. I’ll share the weight loss goal–lose 10 pounds by March 31, 2010. I devised a four word diet plan: Move More, Eat Less.
